Alexander is the second ever graduate from the University of Maine's Intermedia MFA program. Over the past 12 years, Alexander has studied Art, Computer Science, Film, Mathematics and New Media. An active and constant learner, Alexander, enjoys research and learning new things whenever the opportunity presents itself. Recent subjects of interest include: reverie, pareidolia, apophenia, experimental musical instruments, physical computing, complexity, and many others. Alexander's work develops as part an ever-emergent practice of investigation and research. As an artist Alexander seeks to develop an operating space within and around the sublime, which casts a light on all that is wonderful, terrible, and awe-inspiring, in this reality we collectively share.
